Saw this one and liked it far more than I thought I would. The best"Rocky" film since the original and it might be Stallone's best work ever. Its been getting very good reviews so I figured I'd take a chance and see it and I was not at all disappointed. Just an entertaining, good all around film.

Thought it was typical Rocky movie - but the storyline was good. I appreciate that there was not needless sex scenes and general R rated behavior. Thumbs up for me - and I only see two or three movies per year.

Just saw it earlier today. Thumbs up from me The storyline, odes to the Rocky films of old, the final fight scene, the music, the actors and actresses, etc. Everything was gold to me for the most part.

Thanks for the feedback. Creed does look like a good film, Is this one also written by Sylvester Stallone? All the other ones were and I admired that about him because he made wholesome movies.

No, he told his story with Rocky Balboa and was lured back just as an actor.

This. It is the first Rocky film that Stallone hasnt written. The movie was 100% the result of the director.

For some reason, I'm not really interested in this one. Is it really that good? I really liked Rocky Balboa, actually. Does it not feel like a cash grab, does it feel natural? How good are the boxing scenes?

Best Rocky related film since the original IMO. A lot less cartoonish than some of the later sequels

Stallone in an interview said that he wanted no part of it originally, that he was done with Rocky but that the director/writer basically talked him into it as he had a very good vision for where he wanted to go with the story.

The boxing scenes are good. There is a LOT of action that takes place in the gyms, and a lot of training work, but it's not as "movie montagey" as the Rocky movies.

The characters are GREAT and really realistic. There's a lot of emotion, and a plot twist that puts Rocky in a different light. Stallone handles it well, and it enables Creed to exhibit a different side as well. It's a VERY good movie.

I also appreciated the lack of gratuitous sex and cursing. It enabled us to take all our boys with us, from age 12-19.

The thing that blew my mind: Stallone is the same age in this film that Burgess Meredith was in the first Rocky.
