Fart-O-Rama: starring a bunch of Muslims bowing to the floor with their butts sticking in the air, and they start spontaneously farting to the tune of 'Ain't gonna study war no more'

She's Come Undone.

But that will never translate well to the screen. Same way "The Lovely Bones" couldn't.

Fiction:
Blood Meridian
Cormac McCarthy's masterpiece, his ultimate meditation on death and the warlike nature of humanity. It would be difficult to translate to the big screen, but the Coen brothers ably adapted another McCarthy work to much acclaim, though it should be noted that the novel No Country For Old Men was a much simpler work. Still, the book is full of action, bleak and horrific though it is. And the setting, along the U.S. Mexican border from Texas to California in 1850, would allow tremendous opportunity for a top-notch cinematographer.

Biopic:
Excursions On A Wobbly Rail
The story of Lou Reed, focusing on the lte '60s Velvet Underground period and his solo heyday in the early 1970s. Supporting characters would include the likes of Andy Warhol and Nico. The film would, of course, be laden with Reed's music and steeped in Reed's drug and sexual indulgences. The potential for a dark, surreal, and gorgeous film are substantial. The title is mine - it comes from that of a radio show Reed hosted in his late teens.

"Earth Abides", by George R. Stewart is one that could be made good. The story of the end of civilization has been told, and retold, but this one takes a different angle, and focuses on the evolution of society, and how the survivors perceive the world that is changing around them over many years.

Movie about Castro could be interesting. They make plenty of movies though. Hard to think of one that needs to be made right now.

A movie about the Tom Clancy book "Without Remorse" that could be a great movie if done correctly.

A movie where a man (or woman) is tempted to desert his or her children and homely, dull, but good-hearted spouse for someone who promises a life of passion and wealth, but ends up staying with his or her family.

Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising. Despite the sheer scope of the book, it may be possible with a trilogy.
