Wonder Woman is 10 million dollars away from grossing 400 million dollars in the USA. At the rate it is bleeding theatres and holding the box office numbers from weekend to weekend, it will most likely get to 400 million in three more weeks. It currently sits at 781 million dollars globally, and still has not opened in Japan, which will most certainly get it over 800 million. Also, WB officially announced Wonder Woman 2 will open December 13, 2019!!!!! With the first movie being such a beloved word-of-mouth smash, the sequel will surely open significantly above the 103 million that Wonder Woman started with (I would not be shocked with a 150 million opening weekend for WW2) and the holiday legs will work its magic. Of course, that is provided the film is as well reviewed and well liked by audiences. But I could definitely see the sequel also ending above 400 million domestically.

Yikes! In its ninth weekend, Wonder Woman gets its smallest drop yet: from last weekend's 4.6 million it decreases a minuscule 23 % to 3.5 million. That is holding power!!! The amazing amazon's first solo adventure currently sits at $395.4 million in the US; it might reach 400 million by Sunday. Wonder Woman is not only the highest grossing hit of the summer (with no other summer film hoping to match it [not even the allegedly mighty Spidey]), but the second biggest hit of 2017 so far (only the Beauty and the Beast remake has made more money this year). Also of note: with Star Wars: The Last Jedi widely expected to be the biggest hit of the entire year, it's quite possible that the top three earners of 2017 are films led by female characters: The Last Jedi, Beauty and the Beast, and Wonder Woman (unless Justice League manages to gross more than Wondy, which would not shock me).

Yep, even if Wonder Woman leaves the Top 10 list this weekend, it will still have enjoyed 64 days there. Wonder Woman has clearly performed beyond the expectations of any and all. Heck, the 700-million-worldwide mark was quite the milestone itself.

It's now under 5 million away from a $400 million domestic gross. Get out the Tostitos & salsa!

(And yeah, The Last Jedi will indisputably be the year's biggest earner.)

How do you think Justice League will do? Did you notice that the second trailer (a 4-minute clip) for JL opened with a Wonder Woman setpiece and a return to Themyscira/a glimpse of Hippolyta and the amazons? Surprise surprise.

We did see some a few bits of that opening melee and some Amazons (briefly) in the other trailer. (We saw Mera in the other trailer, too, but not this one.)

Steppenwolf's initial arrival on Earth — via Boomtube — is on Themyscira. No surprise they'd show that.

Geoff Johns said Wonder Woman already had a much bigger role planned for her in Justice League than in BvS. The action in the JL trailer is incredible. Can't wait.

There seemed to have been a shot of Steppenwolf's army fighting Amazons in an earlier trailer that some people opined was a flashback from the ancient past...but maybe it wasn't.

I thought so, too. Maybe, maybe not. The chronology isn't clear from the trailer, which is a good thing. I hate when an entire movie can be pieced together from the trailer (like Ragnarok, f'r instance).
