I don't like the female Mummy thing. Not scary. This looks like the movie The Ring.

I liked the trailer. Seems like it ups the anty on the horror. What I liked about the old new The Mummy with BF is that while it had its campy comedy moments the amount of death and the threat of the mummy was there and overwhelming. This one takes it to another level it seems with TC's character's apparent death and rebirth.

I dont care if its a remake and it is too soon. It is soo played out to complain about Hollywood remakes now. I dont care that TC is a weirdo...the dude can act and his sci fi movies are usually very entertaining. So it seems with this one.

The Original was the 1933 starring Boris Karloff, and that film does not care one whit about the year you were born. It is still the original. There were also a few Mummy movies made by Hammer Films in the '60s starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, but those seem to have been forgotten.

As for this new version: I watched the trailer last night and I couldn't make heads or tails about what was going on. I think I will skip this one.

I saw the trailer and it looks pretty awesome in all honesty. It looks far scarier than the Brandon Frasier movies and more action packed at the same time.

It's just too difficult to see Cruise as anything but Cruise; he never makes us forget who he is in the real.

IOW, he is not a good actor.

Where's Boris when you need him?!

Not to mention, how dumb is subscribing to Scientology?!

Have to admit I don't understand all the hate for Tom Cruise. I know Scientology is a loony "religion" but so what? There are a few others that fit the bill as well. I like quite a bit of his movies, including Jack Reacher, even though he's not exactly the character I envisioned from the book. Collateral was a terrific movie as was War of the World, A Few Good Men and the Mission Impossible series. He had some lousy ones too, but who in Hollywood hasn't? The Mummy looks like it might be a good one too.

I will always remember back in the late 80's when Tom Cruise stayed at Canyon Ranch resort, the staff wasn't allowed to look at or speak to him unless given permission. They closed off a whole section of that resort for him and he was just so rude to people. That is a big reason why I do not like this man. He is a freaking actor...he is not above everyone else.

You gotta separate the art from the artist. Most big time actors are ego maniacs. Musicians are worse.

Why don't have they have a Mummy that resembles L–R0n?

Good reason!
