Before you start complaining about "another remake," "Hollywood is out of ideas," etc., etc., keep in mind that THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN from 1960 was also a remake.

Okay. I'm a self-proclaimed movie buff (or snob). I love....love the original, and never been a fan of remakes. That said, this looks amazing.

The 1960 version is also a remake? What was the original movie called??? I searched for "Magnificent 7 1960 remake" but couldn't find anything.

It was a remake of a Japanese movie called The Seven Samurai.

It looks like straight comedy rather then the moments of comic relief added by the seventh samurai or the local Mexican wanna be gunfighter in the Magnificent Seven.

Both SEVEN SAMURAI and THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN are great movie. Both classics.

FYI: A BUG'S LIFE is also a remake of SEVEN SAMURAI.

Trailer looks like a bit of camp. Reminds me of that italian western with Henry Fonda as an aged gunfighter at the very end who takes on 100 bad guys riding towards him. Terence Hill provided the comedy.
Here it is My Name is Nobody.

My first reaction was 'no.' But when I watched the trailer, I changed my mind. It looks like it could be good. But I hope they never try to do a remake of the Sergio Leone Spaghetti Westerns. I just can't see anyone in the role of 'the man with no name' other than Clint Eastwood.

I'm always in the mood for a Western. Bring 'em on. Watching that trailer, I couldn't help but thinking, "Why hasn't Denzel Washington made a Bass Reeves movie? He looks just like him."

FYI: One of Leone's greatest spaghetti Westerns, A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, was a remake. It was a remake of Kurosawa's YOJIMBO.
