It was really good, just as good as the first one. Wilson & Farminga were great again, and I love, love, love Frances O'Connor. She's one of my favorite actresses.

Really freaky movie. Conjuring 2 is the best horror movie I've seen since Conjuring 1 LOL.

Going today. I'm not too worried, with The Conjuring, Insidious, and Insidious: Chapter 2 under my belt, all directed by James Wan. And the continued director / actor collaboration with Patrick Wilson (Insidious, The Conjuring, Insidious: Chapter 2) and Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) is an added bonus.

Insidious was great. It's all about the plot and bringing it. It's either there or not within a few minutes.

This.
I liked the first one (8/10 rating), Annabelle was like 6.5 but for some reason, this one just didn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong, very good acting all around but the plot and more so the cliché cheap scares via sudden Boohoos (loud yelling, coming out of the dark corner predictably) ruined it for me.
My best rating; 6/10.

I rented The Hallow, and I honestly enjoyed it more than Conjuring 2.

I enjoyed this one as much as the first, which is rare. James Wan is such a good filmmaker, he has the knack for the horror genre. There were a few parts I thought were a little cheesy, but overall I say this is a winner. The movie managed to keep some tension going throughout. Maybe could dial down a few of the jump scares but very well done. I read there is supposed to be another spin-off to this called "The Nun" based on the nun in the movie. Hope Wan is involved with that as well.

Sorry to hear so many people didn't like the 2nd one. I thought it very close to being as good as the first. I didn't even know Frances O'Connor was in it, so when I saw her I probably became pretty biased LOL

My wife and I both really liked the Conjuring 2, and I think it was better than the first one which I enjoyed immensely. Definite thumbs up from me.

The subject of which is better is obviously a matter of opinion... and as said I'd rate the 2nd just a bit higher than the first.

86% https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_conjuring/

77% https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_conjuring_2

No matter how you slice it (pun intended) both films are worth a look.
