This movie documentary is simply fantastic. Several big name actors lent their talent to make this courageous movie.

I was a Merill Lynch stockbroker for a short time in the 80's. This movie is quite accurate. The Big Short explains exactly what created the 2008 mortgage mega crisis and subsequent bail-out.

Take notice....they are doing the toxic CDOs again.....re-branded of course. Twas money to be made then....tis money to be made now.

Obama? He had nothing to do with it.

Shortly after we were declared to be in a recession my dim-witted brother positively drooled when he said "Obama's recession!" I figured if he could cause a recession before he ever got in office he could do this.

About the only thing the President can do is boost confidence and jawbone the Federal Reserve to relax interest rates. The Fed has a lot of control.

A Presidents policies may effect the economy of the next president....maybe.

Most people have no clue about these things of course.

What are you doing? This is the movie forum.

Republicans are 10% as likely as Democrats to engage in mass crowd killings.....since you seem rather proud of not being a conservative.

The Big Short is a well made and a very important movie. They are starting to package and sell the same products that caused the 2008 meltdown. Greed coupled with stupidity.

I'm going to watch it again. There is that much important material. Wall Street/Greenspan sent the world into a nosedive....one person went to jail and the public bailed them out.

If you are not upset, you either have no conscience or are living in lala land.
