Kong: Skull Island is part of WB's Saturday panel at SDCC. That's where they'll unveil a teaser, I imagine. I like how you can't see Kong till you max the image. Brilliant.

Is this the movie that's supposed to be set during the Vietnam era? Or was that a bogus rumor?

It seems like this movie has been in the works so long that I can't remember what it's supposed to be about, other than a giant gorilla.

Isn't this sort of a reboot of the 2005 Kong movie, except it's solely set on Skull Island?

Hope it isn't more CGI overload of monsters.

At first, they said it was going to be a prequel to the 2005 KONG flick. But then I heard it was set in the 1960s, which makes no sense since in the first movie Kong was the last gorilla on the island and died at the end of the movie. So at this point I have no idea what it's about.

I don't see how that can be a sequel. Looks more like a reboot. But I"m okay with that. It looks great.

Although they really should have called this movie APOCALYPSE KONG.

No, this is most definitely not a sequel to Jackson's remake, nor would I want it to be! I like the trailer. The palm tree-javelin trick's cool.
