I love zombie movies, but honestly, I do feel that they have hit their high point. It's the same ol' crap being churned out day after day. Once in a while there may be a good one, but we need a fresh new take on the genre.

I love Romero movies. He made some pretty great stuff back in the day. His more recent films were crap. I couldn't get into them. It happens.

Yeah, Survival of the Dead stunk.

Romero's the Godfather of the genre, as far as I'm concerned (even though he didn't invent it).

Romero didn't say zombies films are dead, though. Just that he can't get any traction with something different. Marcus, you pot stirrer.

Yeah, we need more Jason Bourne and Downton Abbey to balance things out.

Romero is saying Zombie movies as message movies are dead. Funny comment since I remember an interview by Romero where he said NOTLD wasn't political. I guess he has changed his mind?

I loved WWZ. Great movie and looking forward to WWZ 2.

Dunno. Zombieland was really fun. I liked Warm Bodies. You can still do a Zombie movie that isn't a cliche.
