I sneak food into the theater. I know most theaters have a policy against that but what do you expect when people aren't going to pay $5 for a tub of popcorn. I asked one of my female friends why she has a huge purse and she was like "Now you understand why I carry this big-a$$ purse (those were her exact words, lol). When I go to the movies, I get something to eat at a nearby restaurant and enjoy it in the confines of the big screen.

Thanks for reminding me why I worked my way out of being a theatre manager.

I used to looooooove to buy nachos at the movie. But just like eveyone else, when the prices hit $7.00 for some chips and fake cheese, I stoped buying. I usually go by target and grab some candy and a bottle of water. Depending on the theatre, I will get some popcorn at the concession stand. Some theatres are cheaper than others. We have a new one in downtown Orlando that has a full bar and does salads, pizzas and other goodies and the prices aren't to bad.

Popcorn with butter. It's never as good when you make it at home.

It's actually not against the rules to bring in your own food at the theatre my boyfriend works at... It's not posted or anything though, so no one knows. His must have is Twizzlers, and I always get one little sweet thing like Milk Duds (mmmm!) or now that it's close to Easter, Jolly Rancher jelly beans! Sometimes I splurge on one of their awesome cinnamon sugar pretzels. And I really only like popcorn when it's cold... so I just eat what he brings home to me. :P

If you LIKE going to the movies you may wish to consider at least purchasing something while there. So much depends on those sales. Its ok to sneak in a snack or two but if you really want the comfort of suppling yourself completely, you may want to consider going to the Drive-in.
