What happened to Jim Carrey? Why no more major movies?

One of my favorites also. From Fire Marshall Bill, to the creepy cable guy to a disturbed man in number 23 he has a lot of talent. He can play dramatic roles in addition to comedy. He showed he still had the comic chops in Dumb and Dumber 2. I think he will return in more serious roles in the future. I could see Jim playing a man trying to overcome a tragedy in his next film, or some other life situation.

Adam Sandler also showed great acting in some dramas. At the later stage of a career like these guys the usual comedy should not be the whole bulk of their films. They should show off thier skills beyond this.

Jim Carrey has a daughter, not sure how old she is, but I thought I heard that he was focusing more on her and family and has chosen to work less. The guy is rich beyond my wildest dreams, maybe taking it easy is on order.

I wonder what happened to Mike Meyers, he too sorta dropped out of the limelight. He made all of the Austin Powers stuff, but I haven't' seen him in anything for several years now.

Take a lesson from Jerry Lewis....the idiot faces and "Hey L-a-a-a--d-y!!!" don't work so well after 35.

Maybe we can find a marathon Jim Carrey can host.

All he needs to do is make another Ace Ventura movie. I'd see it.
