So after finally seeing this film, I can say... it was absolutely dreadful! Very poorly cast. They completely missed the marked with everyone.

Iím okay with that. I tend to dislike a lot of movies the masses like. Different strokes for different folks.

That's what decades of nostalgia for a beloved childhood classic combined with Disney's peerless marketing machine can do: make lots of people love a soulless, CGI-heavy monstrosity that's long on empty razzle-dazzle and short on actual magic.
The film grossed a billion dollars, but I assure you that thirty years from now people will still go back to the original animated film and skip this crappy reboot.
