I was originally excited about this movie, but after seeing some of the clips they released, I am not so sure I will see it in theaters.

The 30 second clip they released of Belle singing in the market place was absolutely dreadful. Not so much the singing that was bad, but the way Emma played Belle with a lack of enthusiam and wonder. It was so flat.

The clip they released of Gaston...while Josh Gad was fantastic as Le Fou, Luke Evans as Gaston was very underwhelming.

I don't know. The set pictures I saw look amazing. Emma looks stunning as Belle...but so far I am not as excited as I once was.

Ditto. The more I see of this movie, the less I want to see. Definitely waiting for the DVD release. I'll go see KONG instead.

I'm still excited about this movie. I'll probably drag my husband to see it in exchange for his dragging me to watch Guardian Of The Galaxy 2.

I think Emma Watson was a poor choice and I read a review today that said the following, confirming my suspicions...

Quote:
The reality is that Miss Watson is not a particularly good actress. In common with her Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe, her star wattage greatly exceeds her talent.

So, for example, when she says ‘I want to help you, there must be some way to break the curse’, she sounds about as passionate and committed as someone ordering a skinny cinnamon latte, to go.

Will wait to rent this one at home

I watched the animated version SO SO many times when my son was little and really grew to enjoy it with him. I'm actually interested in reliving some of the songs I remember. Not sure I'll see it in a theater, I might be the only guy there.

I am boycotting this movie.

Because I don't like musicals!

Doing killer box office though, may set the March record for box office openings.
