I'm starting to grow tired of Lawrence playing Mystique. There might be a reason in the story why she's mimicking "herself" in so many scenes, but Lawrence has been vocal about her dislike of the makeup/costume. Rebecca Romijn was in makeup for her entire run as Mystique, aside from two brief cameos.

It doesn't look great, but I've enjoyed all of Singer's X-Men movies, so I should be surprised later.

McAvoy and Fassbender probably the two best castings this franchise will ever see. They own those roles.

But...I just cannot get excited for this. Some of the PoV stuff and effects looked bad. But that's what you get when Singer directs.

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure I'll watch it once it hits DVD, but I have no desire to see this in the theater.

As much as I have enjoyed some of the X-Men movies, I'm ready for the rights to go back to Marvel so that they can start over and do it right.

The costume the design in Singer's movies aren't the greatest, and the star power of some of the actors (Jackman, Berry, Lawrence) has stood in the way of character development and accuracy to the comic book material. But since he's directed superhero movies, Singer's given us:

Nightcrawler infiltrating the White House
Wolverine vs Deathstrike
Jean Grey saving the X-Men from the broken levee
Superman saving the airliner
Quicksilver

And a couple others I left out. Those are without a doubt some of the best action scenes in a superhero movie since 2000... since 1989, really. CA:Winter Soldier being the main exception.

That Jean Grey voice with the dream IS Jean. I grew up on the 1990's Fox animated show, so when I heard that, I was like this.

While Wolverine is quite possibly the most popular X-Men character, he isn't the only one. I love how Hugh Jackman becomes Wolverine BUT they need to show and focus on other mutants, especially if after the 2017 Wolverine film, Jackman is retiring from that role.

I agree but for some reason Wolverine in the comics at least tends to be everyone favorite X-Man. Yeah I heard that his last movie is coming up. Just MAYBE someone will make a decent Wolverine movie.

The Wolverine was rather good throughout the movie and Origins was fine besides the whole Wade Wilson BS.
