I'm working on a movie script and I'm trying to be as true to real life as possible. In some prisons do they mix up where inmates are served? Example 2 meals a day served in their cells and 1 meal in a prison cafeteria?
Beyond the inmates in the infirmary and solitary who have to have their meals brought to them, most (state) prisons don't have the manpower to be delivering breakfast in bed to all of the inmates.
It would also be largely dependent on whether you're talking about state or federal and what level of security the prison is.
Yes I would think unless they are LOCKED IN,they have thier meals with everyone else in that unit......
