I just saw this teen comedy film starring Mae Whitman who is surprised to learn that she is the "designated ugly fat friend" of her circle of friends.
I noticed how different some things have changed. The movie sort of touches on that. It's as if the world is a less threatening place now than it used to be. Especially the world of high school. Like maybe the jocks are not the kind of jerks that they used to be.
But I really like the lead actress and think she is more interesting than any of the other supposedly better looking ones. I never understood the typical beauty standards of the average American.
