Not only that, but the moronic subplot about turning John Connor into a Terminator both gutted the story AND the entire point of the series.
They really should have left that as a two-movie series. Judgement Day ended the story quite nicely. The last three films just pissed all over it.
Yup. Agreed on all counts.
Though I admit I did enjoy the TV series. In fact, if Cameron really wants to keep this story going, that is exactly what he ought to do. Give THE TERMINATOR the FARGO treatment. Take the first movie and turn it into a TV show. Season 2 would be Sarah's years in training. Season 3 is T2. That ends it.
That wouldn't have worked 15 years ago. Special effects needed would be too expensive for TV. That is no longer the case. Look at shows like THE EXPANSE or the new Star Trek. They are doing effects way beyond what would be needed for a great Terminator TV show.
It had the best ads for it: The guy on the dock, the New Years Eve countdown. None of the actors were in those ads. It was the worst cast movie I ever saw.
The Oliver Stone movie, "Alexander" with Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie and Rosario Dawson. I voted for this as the "worst movie of the decade" on one poll. It was horrible. The acting was bad, the action was bad and the plot was worse.
The second X-files movie. I drove a 6 hour round trip to see it (the closest theatre that was playing it at the time) and it was so bad. Answered zero questions from the series finale and was terribly written (and one point Scully basically googled brain surgery before doing brain surgery- or something to that effect). Giant kick in the teeth. I couldn't believe that it was actually that terrible so I bought it when it came out on dvd- it was just as terrible the second time around.
I was excited to see Grave Walkers also known as Live Evil because I am actually in this movie, but it was horrible. The trailer is better than the actual movie.

Life's too short to actually pay for suffering. Mowing my yard or doing laundry would have been a better investment of my time and energy - and more enjoyable!
The Good Shepherd was great if you actually knew the history behind the movie, or the real life people that were being portrayed
