Trailer looks pretty good. He was an interesting character in Civil War with Captain America. I may check this out in theaters.

He was definitely one of the highlights of CIVIL WAR. But nothing in this trailer peaked my interest. Too much CGI action. I guess I'm getting old, but I want more out of my action movies than chases and explosions. Hopefully the movie will come through and this was just a mediocre teaser.

When this trailer was released a few days ago, it was obvious Marvel was again trying to again the subvert the buzz surrounding DC and Wonder Woman. They did it when they released the second teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (the one with the Han & Chewie reveal) the same weekend the special IMAX preview of BvS was screened, and they did it when they released the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok right after Justice League's first official trailer.

This time, Marvel didn't win. The buzz around Wonder Woman is too strong. In fact, the buzz for this Black Panther teaser-trailer is really, dare I say, tepid? I'm surprised, but while it's an alright teaser, it has no real oomph moment to seal the deal. Panther stole every scene he was in in Captain America: Civil War, but there's nothing in this teaser that reveals anything major across from his being the "Batman of Wakanda" — cue mid-air flip onto car.

It's still a better teaser than any of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailers. I'll likely skip that one. I'll definitely catch Black Panther in theaters.

Looks cool. I like the combination between the primitive style and high tech. His costume is great.

It gives me hope Moon Knight, ROM, Alpha Flight and some other heroes that are not as well known get films or TV shows. There were a lot of cool superheros that did not get a big break in a huge comic universe.

Marvel doesn't have the rights to ROM any longer, IIRC.

Panther's costume is awesome. One of the best we've seen. Perfect guy to play him, too!

Looks meh.

I think I'm burned out from CGI superheroes quickly whizzing by bad guys to dispatch them. You seen one you seen em all.

My thoughts exactly.

The costume design looks like an odd mashup of different African cultures/traditions. I like Coogler's movies so I'll watch this.

I've always like the Black Panther but it feels VERY rushed.
