Reminds me of The Straight Story, but more like Paris, Texas type film. Not the story line of course, but more of the feel of the film. It could be about nothing at all and the next thing you know it's over and you love it type film. I can't wait. I've always loved Harry Dean Stanton's films.

heh heh films about nothing but you love it :

Wendy And Lucy

The Off Hours

come to mind straightaway but I know I have more. I like "no-plot" films unless pretentious crap ( ex:My Dinner With Andre)

I started to watch "Paterson" recently.
The opening scene annoyed me so much I couldn't go any further.

I'll try again: I kinda trust your recommendation given you appreciate The Turin Horse

(I have a big poster of the TH framed, it shows the female walking to the well).

Re: Paterson, the "kissy kissy" opening made me a tad nauseous and gave me a Lifetime vibe.

One scene in The Turin Horse that I will never forget, and freaked me out...

How did it freak you out?

The whole film made me feel unsettled. I was uncomfortable throughout just as the characters' situation was also uncomfortable throughout.
The visuals in it...you could still pretty much any part of the film, frame it and look at it every day.

I tried Paterson again; got through maybe 20min, was not ringing my bells.
It vibed to me like an attempt to be deemed "quirky" (kinda hate that term and it is so overused to describe films) and poetry thing seemd too try-hard.
It had a tad of a Napoleon Dynamite (which I adore) vibe as well, but in annnoying way to me. The adoring wife, just ew.

The male lead reminded me of the male lead in an excellent film you may dig:

Rubberneck
