I just watched all the episodes within a 2 day period. I should get a medal for that.

I always get hooked on it again every year when some cable network airs it around Memorial Day or so. Excellent mini-series. I was hoping that the follow-up "The Pacific" would be as good.. It was not. Wasn't BAD.. But wasn't as good as Band of Brothers.

Watched it originally when it aired on HBO.

Haven't seen it in at least a decade. I do remember really liking how David Schwimmer was cast, because he was perfect for the role of somebody who's despised by everybody.

I haven't noticed those marathons since around the time The Pacific aired. I thought that miniseries would replace it like Major Crimes replaced The Closer in syndication. There seems to be a sweat spot, then shows disappear until an oldies station picks them up again. Band Of Brothers seems to be in that no show land now.

You know, I never saw this series and had forgotten about it until I saw this post. Thanks for reminder. I will add this to my "movies to watch" list.

If I'm not mistaken, it is on Amazon Prime.

He nailed the roll perfectly. I googled Sorbel. The end of his life was pretty sad. He tried to kill himself and his wife then divorced him and remarried shortly after the divorce. He later spent the last years of his life at a veteran's home where his kids never went to see him. He died there of malnutrition.
