That should be interesting.

His last movie wasn't that good to me, but his name is always intriguing of course.

Quentin Tarantino Prepping New Movie Tackling Manson Murders (Exclusive) | Hollywood Reporter

Quote:
Quentin Tarantino is quietly starting to put together his latest project, and is talking to A-list actors for what is promising to be a unique take on the Manson Family murders.

The project, whose title is unknown, was written by Tarantino, who would also direct. Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have produced and executive produced Tarantino's previous films, are involved, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

I feel like this subject has already been attempted so many times (in some form or another), yet we (the public) still maintain some sort of morbid fascination with it. Since Tarantino specializes in violence, however, I'm sure he'll whip up something his fans will enjoy.

If you ever have a chance to watch the Sharon Tate specials (aired on from time to time on the Reelz channel), watch them. Then you can hear the first-hand accounts (and pain/grief) of the people who knew her (as well as the other victims).

What happened was a tragedy (involving real human beings), but in typical Hollywood fashion, tragedy = $.

Watch Nightcrawler, Nightcrawler (2014) - IMDb
and that, in a nutshell is the majority of the Hollywood industry (just with better cameras).

I just ordered a used book on Sharon Tate...her family has written one as well.

Yep, remember Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" ??? That was one bloody film.

Doing Manson yet again, well I confess to being absorbed by Helter Skelter as motto, his attempt at instigation of a race war where he said whites would come out on top....the whole thing is so bizarre it's hard to believe it ever happened...therein is the public interest, I suppose.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt to star in Quentin Tarantino's Charles Manson movie

Quote:
Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are set to take on the Charles Manson story in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." According to Sony Pictures, Tarantino has described the film as "a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood."

The studio says Wednesday that the film has been dated for a theatrical release on Aug. 9, 2019.

Or boring.

I'm not sure too many people are really interested in the Manson murders.

meh. I am more worried, as I always am with a QT film, that I won't be able to handle the way he portrays it. It took a long time to see Django, and a long time to see IB. Manson is a different kind of evil I def am not sure I want to see it QT style.
