76 years old, from congestive heart failure.

apparently he had fallen on really rough times ever since losing both of his legs in a car accident late last year.

i've found exactly ZERO news articles on it which is insane because yahoo usually reports when someone's dog gets ran over these days.

man, hollywood destroyed alot of lives in the 80's. very few of them got residuals from movies.

I loved him in that movie. He was the guy with that extra sense. That laugh of his. I never saw him in anything else. "Billy!"

I was an 80s teen, and that film was one of my favorites. He was also one of the few Native American actors cast in Hollywood. Sonny was a real Seminole and Cherokee. I like the way he played a scout in an 80s military film. I was born on an Indian Reservation with many relatives who served in the US Military. In real life, the US Military had many Native American scouts into modern times such as in Iraq and Afghanistan. This scene shows his observational skills as a scout and tracker. RIP Sonny...

The first Predator is (still) the only good one, and Sonny Landham is one of the reasons!

A real bummer that life dialed itself down for him in his latter years. Apparently he was homeless!!

And while everyone remembers him as Billy Sole in Predator, let's not forget he was Billy Bear in Walter Hill's 48 Hrs!

He also had a bit part as a cop in Hill's earlier '79 classic, The Warriors.

RIP Sonny!

Sad news. I'm a huge fan of the original Predator (1987) - I first saw this in the theater as a teen in high school. Great film.

I also enjoyed The Warriors and 48 hours - these were also excellent films.
