Just saw a commercial for the movie....starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet....or Kate Winslet and Idris Elba if you prefer that billing.

All I can say is, "Good, God, that Idris Elba is one. fine. looking. man."

I don't know if I'll go see the movie just because of him. Likely not. The plot is sort of been there done that. Here we go again, two people stranded on a mountain.

But Lord, Lord, Lord, I sure want to see the trailer again!

It will be interesting to see how much the studio pushes the move with advertising and press junkets.

I saw it too.

You are right...

Mahershala Ali is a good-looking man as well.

I hadn't heard about this but you're right, he is quite striking! And his voice!

I might order the book. They're almost always better than the movie

I'm very demanding when it comes to movies I watch.

Two people trapped on a mountain. Really? That's what you put these two actors together for, that plot?
Both these actors can handle and deliver so much more.
The trailer offers me nothing I haven't seen before in terms of storyline.

Two top tier actors, interesting enough plot. Probably a decent movie.

It's at a 73% on Rotten so far. That ain't bad.

Haven't seen that trailer yet, but Idris is riveting in "Luther" on Netflix where I became a big fan of him. I was hoping they would consider him for the next James Bond.

Two great actors but the stranded on a mountain survival story has been done time and again. It will be interesting to watch the dynamics between the characters and the relationship that develops.

Maybe they can tie it into "The Grey" and have them rescued by a feral Liam Neeson living in a cave. They never indicated his fate after fighting the wolf...

Jusr joking about that last part. : )

^^ I know.

When I think of the GREAT script material these two actors could have handled.
And THIS is what we get. Ugh.
