I hadn't really considered seeing this film until I read this review. I felt as if I already knew enough about Jane Goodall.
Director Brett Morgen is so emotional about Goodall's life that it makes me want to see this documentary. And he really had to work to win her over. (I loved his "Montage of Heck.")
Definitely glad I caught this. Lots of coverage on her research of course, but more biographical tidbits that really made it worthwhile - and of course the never before seen footage of her early work from the 60s is priceless, and what with her meager background she is chosen and sent to Africa for this work. Philip Glass' original score was the icing on the cake.
