The Man From Earth is one heck of a movie. If you hadn't seen it, you need to. It's really good.

There is one part of his story that's pretty far fetched though but it caught me by surprise.

I thought, uh... ok.

Cold Turkey (1971). I'm amazed this didn't become some kind of cult classic. The scene where the town completely whores itself to the mainstream media is hilarious, and the last shot was one of the biggest FUs in cinema history.

Blow Up (1966) is another amazing movie, a swinging 60s film noir with some cinema verite thrown in for good measure.

Bandits. I simply don't know why this movie isn't more popular. Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Cate Blanchett. It is absolutely hilarious, and I'll guarantee you, you won't see the end coming. I bought it years ago on a whim, and it quickly became one of my favorites.

When I saw this in the theater, I immediately decided to buy it. So I have it on DVD, but I've never watched it again since. I can barely remember any details about it. Guess it's time to watch it again.

Spoiler
We do still make "burning feathers" jokes, though.

Let It Ride [1989] Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr.

Great Movie. Wish it had a reasonable pricetag.

Any great (in your opinion), but widely unknown or panned movies you like?
You know I was recently thinking about past stars, and was wondering what ever happened to Teri Garr. She used to be such a fun guest on Johnny Carson back in the day.

One of my favorite holiday movies is Planes, Trains and Automobiles.....I miss the irreplaceable John Candy.

Almost entirely narrative, and a quite thought-provoking story.

It's out there on DVD, not sure about Netflix or other media sites. Will never rise above the obscure, but fascinating if that sort of tale appeals.
I fell asleep twice: once reading your post and second reading the description on IMDB LOL
