I can only get my list down to 20. Disclaimers: I skew towards older films, films that make me laugh, films that are well written, and films that I find structurally interesting. In alphabetical order:

Bolt
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
Duck Soup
The General
The Gold Rush
Gone With the Wind
Hannah and Her Sisters
A Hard Day’s Night
His Girl Friday
The Lion King

Some Like It Hot
Vertigo
The Wizard of Oz

Honorable mention: Amadeus, Annie Hall, Beauty and the Beast, Best in Show, Groundhog Day, The Lady Vanishes, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Producers, Rear Window, Seven Samurai.

Yes, for sure. Thanks for the correction.

And Young Frankenstein got close to making this list.

This is fun, so I figured I'd post more favorites. The above top ten would hands down be my actual favorites.

For my actual #1 favorite it would be either Aliens or Thelma and Louise. That's a tough call. Two completely different movies but each a 10/10 regardless.

More movies I love? I would also lump these as "favorites", but not necessarily in my top 10.

Alien
Terminator 1
The War of the Roses (greatest example of black comedy I've ever experienced)
Insomnia (I've debated this so many times and sure I'll get some disagreement here too lol but this is hands down Nolan's best movie IMO.)
Arbitrage (if you're a fan of Richard Gere, watch this movie...now.)
Contagion
United 93 (hands down best 9/11 movie; nothing comes close)
The China Syndrome
Still Alice
Fatal Attraction
Die Hard With a Vengeance (yes, it's not "as good of a movie" as the first one, but the humor and wit between Bruce Willis and Samuel L. is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on film.)
Death Becomes Her
The Score
Traffic
Transsiberian
Notes on a Scandal
Ransom
All Back to the Future films

BTW, I'm 36 years old. Love movies more than about anything, and watch them constantly.
