I saw this last night and it was pretty good, its basically about a young high school kid who comes out about being gay to his family and friends.

The only issue I had with it was that it was far too unrealistic.

I thought about seeing this on my own since it's something the hubs wouldn't be interested in. It's still showing through Thursday here, so maybe this week.

The movie would have been better based back in 2010. Save your money.

I didnt find it to be any more unrealistic than most teen movies, or really any movie in general. Why did you think it was too unrealistic?

it used to be a big issue but not any more. old news. gay high school students go on to engineering school, join the army or what ever, own houses, families...

brought up in the movie; straight people dont come out and neither do gay people. they just live their lives

It is still is a big issue, there are more people who except sexual orientations other than straight, but there are still those who dont including parents of those children.

The movie says gay people shouldnt have to come out, not that they dont. There is a giant difference between those 2 statements
