I bawled uncontrollably in the theatre at Gorillas in the Mist, and have been unable to watch it since. Nothing has ever gotten to me more, especially the scene where it's learned that the poachers took the gorilla's head. Don't even get me started...
Watership Down: The end when Hazel dies, the song "Bright Eyes".
Benji the Hunted: The end when Benji delivers the cubs and gets rescued (Yay, he deserved it).
The Ghost and Mrs Muir: The end when Gene Tierney dies.
love your question..really makes you think & pulls up memories!! Could you answer a question for me? What is the name of a movie, from the 80's I think, that is a family comedy...that has a robot named #5 ? Thanks Not a tear jerker but its driving me nuts!!

I'm guessing that's Short Circuit ?
A movie that always makes me cry is Terms of Endearment .....
The Last Samurai
The Color Purple
Brokeback Mountain (especially now that Heath is gone, may he R.I.P.)
The Shawshank Redemption
Sense and Sensibility
Reign Over Me
The Notebook
The Secret Garden
Schindler's List
"The Iron Giant"; when the title character closes his eyes at the end and says "Superman", and you know what's about to happen, I can't NOT cry.
"Always"--although it isn't Pete's death that gets me (he's a butthead). What gets me is seeing Dorinda fall in love again, because I've had this same experience. (Not with a pilot, though.)
