I usually like intricate detailed heist movies, The first oceans 11 movie where they robbed the casinos was great, I dint really care for Clooney or Pitt for the lead roles, With Clooney, all his roles seem like its just him being George Clooney.

There was something else that I hated about the Ocean movies, including this new one (Oceans 8), but its hard to explain what Im talking about..its like the characters are impressive thieves and they know they got skills, but its like they go out of their way to make everyone else believe this about them, when its totally unrealistic, like in the opening shot in Oceans 8, when Bullock is talking to the parole board, she goes on about her brother danny being a criminal con man, and how it was in his blood, and she is so different, she never wanted that life (whatever that means btw? LOL), thats about the best way i can think of to describe it, hopefully some will understand what Im trying to say here.

Spoiler
And btw, when did Danny Ocean die? that was never even explained? The last Oceans movie he was in, his character seemed to be just fine, Im guessing they could not afford George Clooney, even for a cameo appearance!

Well, if you like heist movies where absolutely nothing goes wrong and there is virtually no suspense whatsoever, this would be your movie. Mindy Kaling, and exceptionally funny woman, had very few funny lines with her character. And everyone else was basically "too cool for school". It was pretty ridiculous. Nothing runs that smoothly.

Remaking a classic movie is 1 thing. However, when you re-make to the point of changing the race/ethnicity or gender of a character, I think the writers spent too much time on ID politics than perhaps making it an enjoyable movie.

I thought I was going to hate this movie when I first heard about it. However, I thought it was a cute caper movie. Not really a remake of Oceans 11, just the same genre. Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett looked great.

The actors in this movie are very apprehensive on negative reviews by white male movie critics.

Itís not because itís a bad movie. Itís because of those damned white critics. After all, it canít be bad if WOMEN are in it.

Talk about sexist actresses who need the crutch of blaming the evil white man. Or are we not allowed to call them actresses anymore? Do we call them vagina-enabled actors? Estrogen-empowered thespians?

For the love of god....
