I forgot Annie Hall beat out Star Wars. But, I'm a big Woody Allen fan and was glad to see a COMEDY get the Oscar. I may be the opposite, I've seen Annie Hall more often than Star Wars. Another line: When the lobsters get loose and crawl behind the fridge, Woody says: Maybe if we put out a bowl of butter they'll come out.

Except that GHANDI is actually a great movie ANNIE HALL is not. ANNIE HALL is a mediocre movie from an incessant whiner.

I seem to have lost my notes. But lots. It's a great movie. It might not make my Top 20 Favorite Movies list, but I'd rather watch GHANDI another 20 times than have to sit through ANNIE HALL one more time.

This Ghandi you speak of must be a remake of Gandhi.

For me, with superhero movies, it allows Hollywood to take the easy way out of story telling. These stories have already been told in the form of comic books and chances are, they have been told multiple times, by multiple people, in multiple universes, over multiple generations. Of course, this doesn't negate all the regular films being put out which are based off novels.

Having read most of the comic book stories, I still enjoy going to the movies and seeing the movie adaptation, because this is also helping the comic book creators. Rob Liefield has been a great artist for many years and now with the Deadpool movie being a blockbuster hit, his status and demand for his work has increased dramatically. These artists and creators were people I've met over many years and these people have dedicated their lives to these characters even though they weren't highly paid, worked crazy hours, and were shuffled around constantly by Marvel and/or DC. I hope that superhero movies continue to have a lot of success and that we start to see new characters hit the screen.

I highly recommend people go to a comic con and be sure to visit the Artist Alley. These artists will be creating and drawing the next Hollywood blockbuster and they might not even know it.
