I wish I could get more. You see, at tax time, when parents bring their kids into the tax office, it's nice if they can sit and watch a kiddie movie while their parents are "busy".

Me too, I still watch my videos. Almost as much as I watch a DVD. I see them going for 50p or 99p max on ebay. It's a shame because they're just as good! I too bought vast amounts of Disney titles, and they were £16.99 each right up to when people were mostly buying dvd's still! I won't be doing anything with them anytime soon, because I remember how much they cost and even though they're not worth that now to me they are There's no way I'm buying the same titles on dvd's either, and I rarely watch the "extra's" sections on dvd's.
I've also got a lot of oldies movies, like Audrey Hepburn and comedies like Sir Norman Wisdom movies on VHS that mean alot as they're so old now.
Dvd's are great, but I still love my VHS

Most of my movie collection is VHS and have an old VCR, about ready to go. Not sure where to get another one now, a used electronics place? Would be very expensive to try to replace them all on DVD. Any way to convert from VHS to DVD??

Buy a VHS to DVD recorder and put them all on DVD. It's pricey--mine was $200, but worth it because it costs about $20/tape to have someone else do it. Plus, you don't have to re-buy all your VHS tapes.

I have a DVD/VHS combo because I couldn't bear to toss my old VHSs. I was told by a guy once that I had the funniest collection of bad teen 90s movies on VHS he'd ever seen. That's probably true.
Don't even bother to try and pawn them, they're not worth anything anymore.
You'll probably be unhappy with the VHS to DVD converter because the quality is pretty lousy. My suggestion- go through and pick out the ones you really like and would like to have on DVD then go to Amazon.com and buy used copies of them on DVD for between 2 and 10 dollars.

I think I would rather just find a good VCR (but where??) to keep the quality of the VHS tape. Maybe they will make a comeback!

I know Best Buy still sells DVD/VCR combos for pretty cheap. I should know as I just bought another one not too long ago. I now only but dvds but still have hundreds of VHS that I am not ready to part with yet so the combo player works out perfectly for me. In fact I may buy a backup one just to be safe.

I plan to keep buying VHS tapes as long as someone sells them...I have 3 VCR's and I'm kinda nostalgic about my VHS collection...plus, alot of my favorite cheesy old movies are on VHS and not on DVD as of yet. If they do eventually come out on DVD, then I'll get 'em---I know that sounds crazy, but that's just my way :-)

I think I'll try to convert all my old VHS movies to DVD. Then, I'll have a garage sale to sell the VHS tapes. What doesnt sell, I'll donate.
