Infinity War spoilers ahead. So turn back if you haven't seen it yet!
I didn't want this conversation to get lost in the Infinity War thread, and I hope it doesn't get moved there, but after seeing Infinity War... I'm now wondering about this famous quote from Ragnarok:
Because let's look at it this way... Thanos kicked the Hulk's butt seemingly pretty easily in the beginning of the movie, Iron Man with his new nanotechnology gave Thanos a run for his money... Doctor Strange gave Thanos a run for his money... Wanda(Scarlet Witch) held Thanos off pretty good when he was coming to get the mind stone from Vision... but it was Thor who ultimately kind of defeated Thanos with his new weapon(i.e. if he had gone for the head). Therefore, does that mean that Thor is actually the strongest Avenger?
Also, I had always thought that Vision was a really strong Avenger, especially since he was able to lift Thor's hammer in AoU, but even though Vision has always been one of my favorite Avengers since he was first introduced in the comic books in the 1960s... and I still liked his role in IW... however, I still have to say that he seemed kind of weak in IW. Although I guess that could be viewed as him having been injured by the one bad guy's sword which prevented him from phasing.
I feel like Avengers 4 will have the death of Scarlet Witch or Banner's honey, Betty Ross and it enrages to become WorldBreaker Hulk.
Betty Ross? But with Ruffalo's rendition of the Hulk, there is no Betty Ross. Also, I have no idea what WorldBreaker Hulk is because when I entered high school in the 1970/1971 school year and I felt like I was getting too old for comic books and stop buying them at that point. (Yep, I'm that old. Although probably not as old as Ralph. )

Yep, and House of M. is beyond my knowledge base also.
Okay, now I knew I started this thread for a reason, but almost forgot to mention this. Did anyone notice that even though Proxima Midnight and Corbus Glaive seriously injured Vision and held off Scarlet Witch, two of the strongest Avengers... Captain America(who is kind of mid-range strength), Falcon(who is low to mid-range strength), and Black Widow(who is one of the weakest Avengers) virtually took out Proxima Midnight and Corbus Glaive? I mean it was a cool fight, but really? Or has this already been discussed in the main AIW thread?
Thor is definitely one of the strongest Avengers if we are including the comics, however, if we are just going by the MCU movies, I think it's debatable because the movies have severely dumbed down Thor's (and other characters' powers). Doctor Strange at his full comic book strength would also be vying for the strongest, but they only selectively show his abilities in the MCU. Original version of Drax was top tier strength too. To be honest, Hulk is probably consistently the strongest Avenger, but the way Thanos beat him down, he's out of contention, lol. It's a little hard to judge in the MCU movies.
