Now I'm hearing there is a scene in Last Jedi when the main girl can hear Obi Wan's voice, and it's got people saying she might be related to him. Plus, Ewan McGregor has been seen at premiers and around sets for a few years now, so I'm curious to what they have planned.
Rogue One is surprisingly good. You should see it.

Rogue 1 was pretty good. The asian "force" dude was somewhat weird.

Rogue One is worth seeing. I got a fist-pump-"Yeah!" out of Rogue One. A couple of them.

I liked ROGUE ONE a lot. I liked how it took a pretty major plot hole of the first movie and filled it in. I liked the underdog mission op tone. Great cast.

But the hero was under-developed. A couple more scenes would have done it. But they weren't there.

If they do a Boba movie, it better not come on in December. (See post #62.)

Think about it. Boba Fett is of one the most recognizable Star Wars characters. T shirts, action figures, stickers, etc. Everybody knows who he is.

Yet he barely had 15 minutes of screen time between 3 movies. Two lines in Empire and no lines in Jedi (unless the yell as he is about to be eaten counts as a line). Then he is shown as a kid on of those prequels.

A fine example of a very minor character with an oversized image.

And thus perfect material for one of these anthology films. Who knows, it might work.

There is no reason for this honestly. We know where Boba Fett came from. We get the basic reason why he became a bounty hunter in the first place. Heck, we even know where he got his ship. There really is no reason for him to have his own film. If anything, I would have liked to have seen him as a supporting character in the Solo film. I think that was a missed opportunity.

It seems like they are just cranking movies out left and right just to make a buck anymore.

When Return of the Jedi came out in the late 80s, it was many many years before another Star wars film was created. I find it hard to believe the studios are just now realizing how much money they can make off these movies. The Star wars popularity was certainly there after Return of the Jedi, not sure why they waited so long to make another one.

And that doesn't bother me at all. There are many stories that can be set in the Star Wars universe.

But they don't all have to be blockbusters. Disney can go forever streaming different Star Wars series of two or three seasons of 10 episodes each, and they can all be good.

90% of the general movie going public doesn't know.

Lucasfilm needs to wake up. If they are making a Boba Fett movie, then they are making a movie for die-hard fans, because the die-hard fans are the only ones who give a flying Fett. If they want to make a movie that appeals to general audiences, then a Boba Fett origin story is just about the dumbest thing they could do.
