The galaxy’s baddest bounty hunter is finally ready to get his time to shine. With Solo blasting into theaters this weekend, there’s news that his sometime nemesis (and fan favorite) Boba Fett is going to get a Star Wars Story of his very own.

I figured this was inevitable.
Think about it. Boba Fett is of one the most recognizable Star Wars characters. T shirts, action figures, stickers, etc. Everybody knows who he is.
Yet he barely had 15 minutes of screen time between 3 movies. Two lines in Empire and no lines in Jedi (unless the yell as he is about to be eaten counts as a line). Then he is shown as a kid on of those prequels.
A fine example of a very minor character with an oversized image.
And thus perfect material for one of these anthology films. Who knows, it might work.

Not a minor "character" just an extra toy to be sold.

The Disney animations have had a couple of episodes about the young Bobba Fett, his growing anger and how he was introduced to the world of bounty hunters. It's also had episodes about the world of bounty hunters in the Star Wars universe.
So the young "Next Gen" fans have been given a foundation. Disney would be smart to build on the Next Gen foundation they've already laid.
But if The Last Jedi is any indication, they're not that smart. Or rather, they disrespect their fans and are just passing the collection plate.

You might be surprised. The big surprise near the end of SOLO is a very deliberate and direct tie-in to one of the animated TV shows. And another character who was prominent in one of the cartoons is mentioned in a scene.
In fact, the mentions and nods and homages to characters from previous movies and TV shoes gets a little heavy-handed at times.

I wonder if Lucas regret selling to Disney.
I mean Disney has a lot of source material but they come out with hot garbage.
Next up, Obi Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Darth Vader, Stormtropper Bob, etc.

People have been wanting an Obi Wan movie for quite some time now, and I think the studios like to dangle that carrot in front of the fans to keep them tuned to the crap movies they are releasing now. I watched The Force Awakens, didn't care for it, so skipped Rogue One and Last Jedi. Now I'm hearing there is a scene in Last Jedi when the main girl can hear Obi Wan's voice, and it's got people saying she might be related to him. Plus, Ewan McGregor has been seen at premiers and around sets for a few years now, so I'm curious to what they have planned.
