The MPAA claims that 49% of movie tickets are sold to the core audience (43 million) that goes to a movie at least once a month. Out of the 43 million, 11.1 million are in the ages 25-39.

I can honestly only remember the last four movies I saw in a movie theatre. From most recent to the oldest, they are:

The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008)
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

Seriously.
