"Dead Calm" is super great suspense and one of the best movies the three stars have done--
Kidman made her breakout role in this--forget the race car movie with Cruise--
Sam Neill was never as staunch and Billy Zane set a bar he has had difficulty repeating--
Of course the script and setting were so important in creating the sense of claustrophobia and threat
The scene on the abandoned boat was one reason I would never really consider a sailing trip...

Copy that, Robert Mitchum was excellent in that.

Arlington Road.

Few people have seen this movie, but it's really good suspenseful movie. Something of a twist at the end, but not an M. Night Shamababalan type twist.

No Country For Old Men is most certainly not horror, but the Coens manage to keep the suspense simmering throughout, regularly taking it to white-hot levels and holding it there before either scaling it back or going for your throat.

I still think a lot of the choices mentioned on here are horror movies, like The Silence of The Lambs. Does The Skin I Live In, count as a horror? I think it should.
