I had no idea a remake was imminent. I love the original 1977 film directed by Dario Argento.

Special screenings have already happened and reviews so far are not very good.

Never even heard of it until now sounds interesting, but I'm kind of chicken and some films are not for me mostly after life supernatural.... I'll give it a try

I watched the original movie because of Joan Bennett from Dark Shadows being in it, but it's terrible. I not inclined to watch a remake.

When I graduated HS in '70, I got a job as a telephone operator for New England Bell. Miss Bennett had a phone stalker. He would dial "O" and have whoever picked up his call had to call the tv studio in N.Y. and deliver a "person to person" call from him to Joan. I never listened in but a few times I got the call, she refused to take it.

As a huge fan of the original, I went in a skeptic. I came out in awe of what direction was taken. It captures the atmosphere and creep of the original with keeping it its own movie. It was explained in a more linear way which some would appreciate. The main horror/gore scenes were masterful and gorgeous and more importantly altogether different than argentos take. What a wonderful piece of film. I have learned a long time ago to never listen to bull**** movie critics. With this film getting 50 % on rotten tomatoes, and get out 100% it is a true testament on how dumb both your standard audience and more so critics are. If you don’t enjoy this. You may just not enjoy the Italian horror genre.

Thats very unfortunate. Maybe you just don't appreciate the genre of stylized horror.
