Can you name one 'demonic/evil' thing he does thru out the whole movie?
Most of the demonic stuff was done on his behalf, but I would say that
Spoiler
decapitating Mama with a piano wire
he did all by his lil' ol' self.

Are you talking about the grandmother? If so, I thought she worshiped Paimon?

I cant remember the part you are talking about? I dont remember anyone being killed or even harmed.

Spoiler
After the husband goes up in flames, Annie is possessed by Paimon and pursues Peter to the attic. It is there that he suspends Annie's body from the rafters and proceeds to saw her head off with the wire he took from the piano(seen upturned in the chase scene).

All the other mayhem was at the cult's direction, I presume.

I finally watched this the other day. It did nothing for me. Not scary. Not well done. I found the whole film to be rather 'cheesy'. Meh.

I understood the movie, but I hated it. It was so dull for a movie with so much impactful stuff going on. I remember Siskel & Ebert doing movie reviews and lamenting 2 hours of their lives they couldn't get back and that's how I felt.

Watched the trailer, well, they're earnest, but no.

The trailer goes out of its way not to tell the whole story, so I certainly wouldn't rely on that as an indication.

yeah, if the girl was actually possessed by a demon, it would be good to have her doing evil and demonic stuff...instead of eating cake, going to parties, playing with toys, etc. LOL

I just watched this recently as it was free for Amazon Prime members.

Definitely one of the creepiest and most unsettling movies I've ever seen. There were a few scenes which made me jump.

I think I was let down by the ending and its revelations though. I didn't think it was going to be a straight up demon possession story, though I realize the clues were there. I was expecting something more shocking and real life for some reason. But other than that, was a very good movie and definitely one of the scariest I've seen in a while.
