I'm planning to see it on Saturday, too. It's getting excellent reviews.

Remember that Collette was the mom in "Sixth Sense"
Her ability to create normal w/just a shade of "am I feeling a weird vibe" was one of the factors that made "Sixth Sense" work so well...that and the other two actors--and good script
Night has not done a movie anywhere as good since then...

Touch of the 50's movie "The Bad Seed" sounds like

Loved it. I'll see it again on $4 Wednesdays next week. Something I need to check on - I'm still thinking of it, and I saw it 2 days ago. My wife went to see it and Adrift with her friend yesterday and liked it. We were talking about it and her take was exactly like I saw it.
Spoiler
That opening scene was outstanding. And I did note later who the first character you see in the room. It's not often that you think of cinematography when you see a horror film. Some of the shots were so unique that I looked up who it was (Pawel Pogorzelski). I will be keeping an eye on him. Unusual for any film I see, I walked in on this completely blind. Did not know who acted in it. Did not see the trailer. The only thing I saw was that stupid poster on the wall as I was going to my theaterette to see another film days earlier. What got me to buy a ticket was I get ebert.com emails with star ratings, and Matt Zoller Seitz, who I agree with 85-90 percent of the time, gave it 4 stars. At the end, I thought Rosemary's Baby.

I saw it today and honestly? I didn't love it. It was kind of silly, in my opinion.

Hmm, I wasn't comparing.
Spoiler
the ending will make you think of Rosemary's Baby. Ask me in a few years which one is better. Time will tell.
