For streaming, that is.

Le CiNéMa Club Presents Its Movie of the Week
By Glenn Kenny

One certainty of watching movies on streaming services is uncertainty. It’s difficult to know when some movies are going to show up on specific sites and, even more crucial, when they’re going to be dropped from a site. A subscriber may find an attractive prospect, put it on a watch list and then later see that it’s no longer available. Like in that old Dion song, you just looked around, and it’s gone.

Le CiNéMa Club, founded in July 2015, definitively eliminates such ambiguities. It features one movie a week, emphasizing international and independent films — sometimes a short, sometimes a feature. There’s also a continuing editorial feature called “In the Cinema Club of …,” in which filmmakers, actors and critics share movies that they especially like.
