Yes I understand it is suppose to be like a 70s B movie, but that doesn't mean they had to make it a misandrist 70's B movie, did they? All the points you gave doesn't really address the negative misandry issue, I don't think. I know it's suppose to go over the top, but does it have to go over the top in a way that leaves a bad taste in the viewer's mouth?

I thought Planet Terror was better, cause it went over the top, in a more good natured way in comparison.

Tarantino said in a filmed I interview that, "If Grindhouse was his worst movie, then he'd be OK with that...", in a self-review of his filmography. But, the movie was well worth it for the lap dance filmed at the Texas Chili Parlor in Austin.

The lap dance started out good but went on for too long.

No such thing as too long a lap dance.

Well, maybe if you're limited to watching one....

Well I felt like the lap dance was a tease cause there was no sex scene or anything, so it felt like a tease therefore, and just teased more and more for far too long.

A lap dance is most often a tease.

Bottom line to your OP, though, is "Yes it is...intentionally."

One of Tarantino's worst movies in my eyes (next to Hateful 8).

Self indulgent and with none of the wit and great dialogue he's known for. That scene at the table with the ladies droned on and on and on....

However, the movie did have one great scene in it:

Makes me want to eat nachos every time I see it.
