If you local theaters are mostly AMC, do it. After two to three movies depending on time and formats, it pays for itself. It can be in one week, two weeks or three weeks depending on when you see movies. Also, as long as you are seeing movies 2 hours a part from each other, you can double feature. Also consider, a dollar or so each month for the Stubs Premier you get included so this lowers the threshold.

No AMC theater here.. All Regal. And even if there was.. No.. I wouldn't go to enough movies to make it worthwhile.
I go to 5 or 6 in the summer normally when the kids are here.. Basically none outside of that.
I used to go to the movies very often. Back in the 90's.. Yeah, this would have been worthwhile. But I looked at upcoming movies.. I think Bohemian Rhapsody is the only one left this year that I have interest in seeing...

Of course the hope is that the subscription discount for the movie and concessions will bring you in instead of using your home system. While not AMC a competitive chain is my local equivalent and the ticket discount, with more assigned seating premiums for regular customers, more than makes up for giving my money upfront

Which is why the AMC plan seems more sustainable. Some people will get the subscription plan, but others will continue to pay for their movies as they go. Movie Pass was losing money on every single one of their customers, and getting nothing back in return. AMC will at least get some more concession sales out of those who see a lot more movies with their plan.
Nothing wrong with either choice of course.

If you see two to three movies a month or would like to do that, get Stubs A-list. If not, don't do it.

I do the yearly plan for $12. Why wouldn't I? Have you seen the savings? Go to 2 movies and you have already saved more having the plan. it really helps, especially if you choose $5 movie Tuesdays, your in for a treat.

You mean Stubs Premier right? I always thought of it for the waved online fees (prior to going A-List.) E-learning has the same perks as Premier does but each movie don't count to accumulated points.
