John Wick 2. I love action movies, but it was shortly after the Florida school shootings and the sales pitch in the movie for the AR-15 made me feel too sad so I stopped watching. A little too much reality there.

I tried watching the Tomb Raider reboot, and I just couldn't. I was hoping it would get more exciting but stopped after she got away and was on top of that rusted airplane.

Hellboy II, The Golden Army.

Ron Perlman should be ashamed.

I remember "Best Defense". It wasn't that bad.....if you had an "understanding" of things. "Best Defense" goes in with movies like "Deal of the Century" and "First Family" in that if one was ever in the military assistance business, one realized how the humor of these movies was not that far from the reality of that insanity......as it was told to me.

Now, as to the question at hand, these days I will force myself to watch the movie through out. I bought it, it is in the collection, I might as well watch it once. Such as "Bandits"
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0219965/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
last Thursday. The flick disgusted me and I will probably never watch it again....but I got through it.

Different story when there were places like Hastings and rentals. I remember one flick that on the box cover looked fantastic (don't they always) where there was some martial arts expert and a scantly clad blonde holding a gun. I started watching the flick, it opened up with a stunts expert telling everyone how to do the art and the acting was so wooden, I got no further than those minutes, turned it off, and returned it. The catch of it is that I didn't even bother to remember the title of the flick.

These days, I am watching movies for some element of escapism, some stabilization in my lonely vampirelle (night worker) world. So even if a movie drags, even if it is a pilot that never got any further, even if it seems like a rip off of something else, I'll give it a chance in a once look.

I just wish more of them came with sub titles since the dialogue often leaves things to be desired.

Never seem to have much luck getting through superhero or war-is-hell movies. Not enough real plot to keep me awake.

Heavy Metal.

Hubby just loves it and I don't know why. I've seen it before, years ago, and he wanted to show it to our adult daughter. I could not sit through it again. It's just a venue for crappy animated soft core porn.

The Little Hours (2017). Walked out of the theater after a couple minutes.

Chappaquiddick.

The actors were not convincing at all, especially the one playing Ted. I kept seeing actors badly acting. And because of that, I shut it down pretty early on. I wanted to like it; I expected to like it.

Eddie Murphy himself castigated his movie, "Best Defense" about how terrible it was when he returned to Saturday Night Live as a guest presenter sometime around 1985. But he quickly noted how he made up for it in "Beverly Hills Cop" and the audience cheered.

I watched the movie because it is sort of an early 80s version of "Office Space" but set in the defense industry. The way the test engineers fake the data to make the test "pass" is surreal at the end - that happens in real life (LOL).
