With our government constantly spending trillions while doing things that the Stasi could only dream about, this movie constantly amazes me with its very quality and timeliness. I watch it almost every month:

I've really only been "wowed" twice watching a movie. First time was Gladiator, I was probably 13-14 years old and it was the first rated R movie I ever saw in the theater. I was blown away. The second movie was for Tron: Legacy, which in all honesty isn't a great movie, but it was the first ever showing at the new "at that time" Imax theatre in Wichita and the atmosphere was ecstatic. It was the perfect movie for 3D Imax and for that setting, it blew my mind. I tried to watch it again a few years later, and I was wondering what I liked so much about it... but, Gladiator remains one of my favorite movies.

We just saw Get Out (DVD). Loved it. It has everything: horror, twists, gore (not too much).

"Eye in the Sky"

Edge of seat suspense, killer acting (no pun intended), and discussion-provoking.

Babe (1995). Such a joy.

Before that, The Remains of the Day (1993).

How it Ends at Netflix was edge of the seat entertainment for me. Not for most people based on reviews: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/how_it_ends/

I was expecting numbers in the 90s at RT.

I spend way too much time evaluating odds of end of the world scenarios...

Just rewatched Alejandro G. Inarritu's The Revenant (2015) yesterday.
