The first official trailer is live. Don't even pretend to not like this.

It looks fun. That's all I ask for in a movie called SHAZAM.

The thing I love about the trailer: No narrator!!! I am really sick of Irving the Explainer being the star of every movie trailer these days. The only speaking in that trailer is dialogue from the movie. This trailer is showing, not telling. More like this please!

It's exactly what a Shazam! movie should feel like. Looks like Sandberg nailed it.

So, no, not all things DCU are going to be "grimdark" nor "silly." And this movie looks like it actually strikes a balance, as opposed to non-stop silly like that Ant-Rudd stuff.

Hard to imagine it living up to the 1970s show some of us liked and remember.

Nah. I watched the TV show back in the 70s. This is not the Shazam of my childhood. I don't like the tone. I'll skip this.

You missed out on Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, too?

I hope you didn't skip the first two recent Captain America movies because of these guys. (Check out that ear.)
