Looks interesting but I had thought he was slaving away on the next two sequels to Avatar.

The subject of machine super intelligence and killer robots is about to become a lot more prevalent. Quantum computers are almost here. This 21st century has given us a lot of exponential growth rather than much, much slower linear growth.

We have been enjoying a veritable feast of movies depicting females as stronger and faster than males. As it, no doubt, should be...

Meh. This actually looks kinda creepy. I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

Back in the '80s and '90s, Cameron was one of my favorite film makers. But he's lost me. The last movie he made that I ever care to watch more than once is TRUE LIES, and that came out in 1994.

Won't be paying to see it. I don't see a compelling story/conflict. The very last shot in the new trailer, the leg windmill kick, cracks me up. I guess it's supposed to be a badass moment.

Already about three years behind with the release of Avatar II, this makes me wonder what is really going on. I have a feeling that they are somehow struggling.

I'm a huge fan of Cameron's ability to take a regular movie and turn it into a record breaking blockbuster.

The trailer looks great. Also, I saw the previews on the big screen recently when I saw another movie... and in my opinion, this movie looks absolutely great. However, I don't see how two sci-fi aficionados such as Mark S. and AFtrEFkt are not interested in this. Although, the only thing creepy about this movie are the eyes on the CGI face of the main character. However, I think that's the point that her eyes are suppose to look creepy because she's an artificial being. But in the end, I think that this is going to be a big hit.

Now I'm not so sure that quantum computers are almost here. There is that. Then again, look at a partial list of people warning us about AI:
Elon Musk
Bill Gates
Stephen Hawking
ColoGuy - joking a little here but the rest of the list is legit.
