Breakheart Pass

Switchback

Both pretty good Westerns, one old-timey, the other modern.

What is it about trains and snow? Both of these have them.

So I have been getting DVDs from the library (I cut the cable cord years ago) so I can watch movies with snow and cold.

Can you recommend some movies and TV series with snow and cold I haven't seen recently?

Here's what I've seen and happily recommend:
The Edge with Anthony Hopkins
Mystery Alaska with Russell Crowe
The Snowman based on book by Jo Nesbo
Day After Tomorrow with Dennis Quaid
Shackleton about the South Pole explorer
Bourne Legacy - the one with Jeremy Renner
Dr Zhivago with Omar Sharif
Snow Falling on Cedars - set in the San Juan Islands, PacNW
Headhunters - based on book by Jo Nesbo
Men with Brooms - Canadian with Paul Gross
Parts of Due South TV series with Paul Gross
The Bridge TV series - the one set in Sweden
Shetland TV series - set on island north of Scotland
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie series - Swedish version
Lilyhammer - NYC mobster gets witness protection in Norway

(No children's movies, please.)

Thanks for your help!
Are you cranking the a/c down at night to make it winter in your house?

Storm of the Century(1999) mini-series. A raging blizzard occurs during many of the scenes.

Stars Wars: The Last Jedi during the last act which took place on a snow covered red salt planet. And don't forget about the coldness of space throughout much of the movie.

Also, profnot, do you mind telling us where you're at?
