I've got to ditto the above selections as some of my favorites.
I loved The Quiet Man, as well as its western counterpart, McClintock.

The humor of these two movies just makes me laugh to think about them. They are basically the same story with a different setting. John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara starred in both of them, and the magic between them on the screen was incredible. I could watch either of these movies almost any time.

I also like the Tom Selleck and/or Sam Elliott westerns:

Quigley Down Under
The Sacketts
Monte Walsh
("Mr. Slocum, you can't have any idea how little I care...")
The Shadow Riders
Crossfire Trail

Last Stand at Saber River
The Quick and the Dead (not the Sharon Stone one)
Conagher

You probably guessed by now that I also like the Clint Eastwood westerns, too. If so, you're right.

I also like quite a few war movies, especially those with John Wayne in them. Another favorite war movie is Midway, without John Wayne, but with Charlton Heston. A couple other favorite war movies are Saving Private Ryan and Pearl Harbor.

Besides westerns and war movies, I also like good action and drama movies.
Here are just a few of my favorites:

The Hunt for Red October/Patriot Games/Clear and Present Danger/The Sum of All Fears (Tom Clancey's Jack Ryan stories)
Forrest Gump
Cast Away
Radio
National Treasure
Men In Black/Men In Black II
Ben Hur
The Ten Commandments

Lastly, I'll mention just a few of the animated movies that I like:
Cars
Toy Story/Toy Story II
The Incredibles
The Lion King

These are by no means all my favorite movies. These are just some of the many that I could watch over and over again, and some of them were mentioned because no one else brought them up.

It's always too hard to pick up only 10 but today it would go something like that :

Cyrano De Bergerac
The Longest Day
The Shawshank Redemption
A very long engagement
Merry Christmas
Fly away Home
Citizen Kane
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The 7th Seal
All quiet on the Western Front

My choice would probably vary a lot depending on my mood though !
