This has got to be the stupidest post ever, but I wanted to try to hit the 10,000 post goal. When I was a kid there was nothing I liked more than watching a good action film. Where are all the action heros? In the 80's-90's you had stars like Stallone, Arnie, Van Damme and even Dolph Lundren. The only new one I have seen lately is Dwane Johnson (The Rock). He has done a pretty good job of filling the older stars shoes. I still however miss the shoot them up bang bang action flics of my childhood. Anyone out there feel the same?

Not really.
I like the old Steven Seagal movies, but his new ones generally are such a torture to watch that I stopped trying.
I like the Lethal Weapon movies as an action flick and think that the recent James Bond and The Bourne Identity are also good action movies.
Although I would never call Matt Damon an action hero.
The only true action heroes are in my opinion Jet Li, Jacky Chan and as you already mentioned The Rock.
Unfortunately their movies aren't always of a great quality, at least story wise; their action scenes are usually of great quality.

You have the Jason Statham movies like the Transporter if you want to count those.

I think the reason you dont have those any more is that genre has kind of died off and been replaced by the Superhero movies.

Jason Statham is great and I also like the newer James Bond movies.
