In the 1987 release of REAL MEN, Jim Belushi and John Ritter were teriffic together. Too many hilarious scenes to pick from, but will go with Ritter's character shooting bad guys with his finger. Wait a minute, that killer clown scene was great, too. And when Ritter meets Belushi's dad, and...
I have to second A Christmas Story and especially Raising Arizona. Loved the fight scent in that, the entire long scene where he robs a quickie mart for diapers and the ensuing chase...one of the funniest movies ever. "While tunneling out of the prison, we hit the main sewer line. Dumb luck, that."
Vacation--Chevy Chase and the cop about the dog... The Russians are Coming, the Russians are Coming!--any scence with Jonathan Winters. Airplane! --Lloyd Bridges' scenes. O, Brother Where Art Thou?--"We thought you was a toad!" Princess Bride--"Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well known is this: 'Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!' "
I think the funniest movie I ever saw that no one has heard of is The Wrong Guy--directed by David Steinberg and starring Dave Foley. Remarkably clean by today's standards and fall down funny. Great sight gag with a train, great lines. "My name is Jones. Enema Bag Jones."
"He ate ten tainted hams."
"You're awake?" "Yes, for some time now." "I've been carrying you!" "I thought you wanted to."
Another extremely funny movie was Rolling Kansas. Many laugh out loud scenes
The scene from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, where Steve Martin plays Rupart the Monkey Boy. Also almost all of Rat Race, I think it was a remake of its a mad, mad world.
Man, some great ones here. But I have to go with the diaper/robbery/chase scene in "Raising Arizona," with the perfect music accompanying Hi's getaway. I can picture virtually the entire scene and hear the music in my head, and it cracks me up just thinking about it.
I will add Weekend at Bernies and Raising Arizona. American Grafiti where Harrison Fords says, "I ain't nobody Dork." Classic.
